Once only available by prescription as a powerful derivative of Vitamin A to treat acne, Retinol is now an over the counter version in many beauty products. Proven to be extremely effective at reducing fine lines, wrinkles and reversing sun damage by increasing the production of collagen. Retinol encourages the lowest layer of your skin cells to split creating new cells which migrate to the surface. The more new skin cells created, the more dead cells
are "sloffed" off or "exfoliated".
It stimulates the production of new blood vessels there-by improving the skin's colour. Tightening the pores and improving texture makes this ingredient a must have for mature skin!
Like anything, over use can leave your skin sensitive to sun. Over exfoliation can leave some skin dry and flaky so it's always best to consult an aesthetician first and follow the instructions. In the evening, apply to clean face and neck as tolerated. Stinging may occur. When first using Retinol Treatment 30 use only 1-3 times per week, gradually working up to every other night. Do not use on the same night that you use AHA Cream or Gel. Caution: For external use only. If irritation occurs discontinue use. Apply SPF in the morning.
